Ezequiel Ridruejo, M.D.

Dr. Ezequiel Ridruejo is Head of the Hepatology Section in the Department of Medicine at CEMIC in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

He earned his medical degree from Salvador University, completed Internal Medicine training at CEMIC and the University of Buenos Aires, and pursued advanced hepatology training at Baylor College of Medicine and the Eugene B. Casey Hepatitis and AIDS Diagnostic Laboratory in Houston, Texas.

He is a researcher at CEMIC, a member of CONICET’s Scientific Researcher Career, and has completed doctoral training in Medicine in the basic sciences area at the University of Buenos Aires. Dr. Ridruejo has held important leadership roles in hepatology, including President of the Argentine Society of Hepatology, and currently serves as Coordinator of the ALEH Viral Hepatitis Interest Group and member of the ALEH Editorial Committee.

His main research interests include viral hepatitis, MASLD, DILI, hepatocarcinoma, and hepatocarcinogenesis and its prevention. He coordinates Argentine site activities for STELLA.
